Thursday Thirteen - Nicknames part 2 - The Two C's

Last week, we posted on the nicknames Tiki and Tavi are called, so this week it is Cody's and Camie's turn.
  1. CodyCody (said really fast and strung together)
  2. Little Man (Cody)
  3. Ghost Kitty (Cody)
  4. Kitten Katten (Cody)
  5. Little Boy (Cody)
  6. Boyby (Like Baby, but with Boy substitued in)
  7. Bria (Camie)
  8. Bugs or Bugsy(Camie)
  9. Little Cow (Camie - I love to graze on grass)
  10. Camsie (Camie)
  11. Cam Cam (Camie)
  12. Baby Girl (Camie)
  13. Bree (Camie)
Of course, we also get called Baby, My Love, Kitten, Puppy, etc. We actually like all of these names. There is only one name that I (Camie) don't like - it is slowpoke - I am a greyhound after all, but when we walk, I really like to investigate, so Mom calls me that.

Tabby Tuesday - Taking over Camie's Bed

Mom caught me after I had taken over Camie's bed. I stayed still just long enough for her to grab the camera and get off one shot from across the room. I was quite comfortable there, until someone had to ruin it. They moved and I had to take off for safer territory.

Meezer Monday

Here we are cuddling together. We are doing this more as we get older. When we were kittens, we would snuggle a bit, but not all the time. Now, we are rarely apart.

Easy Like Sunday Morning and another Desertion

Sleeping in on Sunday
Mom deserted us to go and have fun. How could she have fun if she wasn't with us. Here are a few of the pictures of stuff she saw.
The logo of the place where she went.
One of the models she saw.

Captain Picard's uniform.

The flute from one of Mom's favorite episodes.

She said it was a lot of fun to see all the props, costumes and memorabilia from the Star Trek conglomerate. They had bits and pieces from every Series, and all of the movies, and sets where you could get your picture taken. She had hers taken on the bridges of both Enterprises. She said they even had a couple of small rides, and a show that was broken, so she got a free pass to go back. She highly recommends you go see it if it comes to a venue near you and if you are a Star Trek fan.

2 Memes and an Award

We (Tiki and Tavi) were tagged by Sammy and Miles to do this meme.

It's nice and simple, all you need to do is tell everyone 3 things that are new with you! Link it back to me and the purrson who gave it to you and pass it on to 3 more kitties you'd like to know more about! :)

We had to think about this quite a bit as we are senior cats, and as such are very lazy, but hopefully we have been able to come up with some things that are new or that are just new to you.

Tiki:

1) I had to have my claws trimmed the other day. We don't have front claws (which Mom won't do again) and because we have always been very good kitties about not scratching too much, we never had to have the evil trim. Anyway, because I am diabetic, I can't retract my claws anymore, and I don't always like Mom to test my blood, so I have scratched her really badly a few times, so off the tips of my nails came. It wasn't as bad as I thought it would be, and Mom isn't getting scratched, so we are both happy.

2) This kind of relates to the first thing, but I no longer feel comfortable being held up high ( ie. in Mom's arms), unless I dig my claws into Mom's flesh. I can't hold on properly to just her shirt. As a consequence of this, I am now held a lot like a baby - on my back with her holding onto my feet. I don't mind this too much.

3) Temptations aren't that big of a thrill for me anymore. I hadn't had any in about 6 weeks, but I finally ate a couple the other day. Mom has yet to find a treat that we will eat (well, except for Cody - he just loves them).

Tavi:

1) Now that it is cooler in the house at night, I am finally burrowing under the covers to sleep with Tiki, instead of being on them. I am also playing more now that the weather is cooler.

2) Mom has put two containers of water in the bathroom for me to drink out of. Tiki will sometimes go in there, but I am really the only one to drink there. Bathroom water tastes better.

3) I love to plant my furry butt on the keyboard to Mom's computer. My Uncle M was working on her laptop a couple of weeks ago and asked Mom if she was missing a cat. He said there was enough hair inside of it to grow another. Dragonheart or Merlin, do you need a toupee? Whenever I park my backside there, she picks me up and moves me - after about 10 times, I will finally move to a different location. I am pretty stubborn, but I think she might be my match.

Camie was tagged to do the 3 wishes meme by Diamond Doggy at Perfectly Parker. We loved Diamond's post and hope he gets to be a more regular contributor.

This meme was created by the charming cats at http://www.petspics.blogspot.com/.The rules are: you have to post who tagged you and link back to them and then to petspics.blogspot.com. Then you have to tag 3 other kitties, beans, woofies, or any other assorted animal. What three things would you do that you have never done before, if you knew you wouldn't get caught, get in trouble, or suffer any consequences?

1) Hmmmmm - well, first, I would like to have a whole truck load of Scooby Snacks to eat all by myself. Mom calls them my "Temptations." I counter surfed on time and ate a whole bucket.

2) I would have Mom stay home with us more. She is always away at the job thingy she does. I would also not have her ever leave me to go on a trip. She deserts me every spring to fly to Washington DC to take a group of kids there - she needs to take me with her if she must go.

3) I would never, ever have to take a walk in the rain. I hate walking in the rain (playing in the rain is entirely different).

Finally, we received this award again from Pollux and Castor. Thank you so much boys. We love the having the opportunity to watch you change from newborns to little man cats. We can't wait to see what new adventures you will get into as you mature and age.
We are not going to pass the memes on to anyone as we think most of you have done this, but feel free if you haven't. We would like to pass on the award to Diamond. He doesn't blog often (he has been blogging a lot more lately), but he is always interesting when he does. Thank you everyone - that was fun.

Formerly Feral Friday

Mom likes this picture of me because she says it shows off my eyes. I did get payment for our photo session today - Mom gave me some Temptations. They were yummy.

Tiki and Tavi got tagged for a MEME. They will post their answers tomorrow - they have to think a bit.

Thursday Thirteen - Nicknames

Thirteen Nicknames and "Pet" Names we get called:
  1. Buddha Belly (Tavi)
  2. Skinny Mini (Tiki)
  3. Baby Boo (Both - for our blue eyes)
  4. Kitten(s) (Both - sometimes Mom tacks an "S" on, even if it is just one of us)
  5. Teaksie (Tiki)
  6. Tavsie (Tavi)
  7. Teak-Teak (Tiki)
  8. Tav-Tav (Tavi)
  9. Baby Boy (Both)
  10. My Love or Loves (Both)
  11. Lovers (Both)
  12. Kit Kat (Both)
  13. Babe(s) or Baby (ies) (Both - again with adding the extra "S")

We really don't mind most of these names, as we know that they are said in love, but I (Tavi) really don't like the first one. I can't help it that Tiki has lost so much weight - and since he gets to eat whenever he wants, that means I get too also (we all share a dish). The vet has said that I don't need to loose any weight - so there Mom.

The Face of Innocence

I think Mom left us alone too long yesterday. Her aunt got married in Bakersfield, so she was gone most of the day. She came home to this. I got into a bag of rolls and finished off the last little bit of the dogs food, and raided the trash for the cat food cans. She just shook her head at me and cleaned it up. She should know better than to leave us alone for a long period of time.

We Have the Greatest Friends

Wow, we have made the greatest friends since we started blogging. We have received THREE awards this week. We are just overwhelmed.

We received this award from TT. Thank you so much for thinking of us, and thinking we are special. We think you are pretty special too. We would like to pass this on to Brandi and Edsel, the Pooch.

We got this award from Storm, the Furry Fighter. Thank you so much. We love going over to Storm's blog because she and her brother, Castle, look so much like us (Tiki and Tavi), and we love Castle's trick of carrying eggs. We would like to pass on this award to Fat Eric, One Eyed Jack, and the kitties at And Then There Were Four.

Finally, we got this award from Parker. Thank you so much Parker. You are always so sweet and you were so welcoming when all we had were Catster profiles. We would like to pass this award on to Monkee, Tripper, and Cheysuli.

Everyone has been so nice to us, and we love all of you .

Hi - this is from our last photo shoot. Aren't I handsome.
In other news, mom's computer isn't working again, so we will be spotty with our updates. Mom is hoping to get a new one in about a month.

Thursday Thirteen - The Racing Greyhound

First, we want to say that Mom's computer got fixed yesterday. The De** Dude came and gave it a new mother. We want to thank everyone for the awards we have gotten over the past week. We will be posting them sometime this week or weekend.

We thought we would do a Thursday Thirteen on the greyhound breed this week, so here we go.

  1. Greyhounds are the oldest know breed of dog, and we are the only breed mentioned by name in the Bible (Proverbs 30:29-31, King James Version). The breed is about 4000 years old.

  2. The Arabs so admired the physical attributes and speed of the greyhound that it was the only dog permitted to share their tents and ride atop their camels. In early Arabian culture, the birth of a greyhound ranked second only in importance to the birth of a son.

  3. The greyhound arrived in England about 3500 years ago, and in the 11th century, it was declared that only nobility could own one. This law was in effect for over 5 centuries.

  4. Greyhounds can run at a speed of up to 45 mph. By our third stride, we are going full speed.

  5. The greyhounds that race now are bred to be sprinters. We have short, quick bursts of speed, but we also tire out very quickly.

  6. Racing greyhounds race every third day. The rest of the time, they are kept in kennels and are turned out 4 times a day. Because of this, it can be relatively easy to house train a retired racer.

  7. There is a misconception among most people that greyhounds are very hyper and require a large yard to run around in. We only have a front yard, and I tire out after about a minute of hard playing. I did play a bit more when I was younger, but not much. My brother, Hunter, was the king of playing chase at the end of the bed. He would race from corner to corner and do lots of quick turns. Mom also knows of a greyhound that lives on a houseboat.

  8. Greyhounds typically start racing between the ages of 18 months and 2 years. Males and females compete against each other. The males have larger muscles, but are bigger and heavier, so the smaller, lighter females are an even match for them.

  9. Greyhounds stop racing when they don't win a certain number of races in a certain period of time (usually 3 - 6 months). Because of this, there are a large number of greyhounds that are "retired" at around 2 years of age. Most greys that race never win.

  10. A greyhound must retire when they are 5 years old. If a greyhound makes it to 5 without an injury, they are often used for breeding for another year or two.

  11. A greyhound is bred to be streamlined. Even our ears are shaped in a way to channel the air away. They are said to look like rosebuds. (Mom will get a good picture of mine soon).

  12. Greyhounds are typically healthy dogs. Unhealthy dogs are slow dogs, so a lot of the diseases that are common in other breeds due to selective breeding do not tend to show up in greys. The biggest health problems associated with the breed are thyroid problems and cancer. We also come in all coat colors and patterns. The rarest color in a greyhound is Blue (or gray) due to an "old wives tale" at the tracks that they are unlucky. Most blues never make it to the track. We also do not have hip problems because our hips are shaped more like a humans. This helps us run faster.

  13. While the greyhounds that race are being more closely monitored, and the instances of abuse are not as commonplace, there are still 10s of thousands of greyhounds being destroyed every year when they outlive their usefulness as a money maker. We make wonderful pets, and really love to lounge around with our humans. We are called Velcro dogs because we will follow our humans from room to room. If you know of anyone who is looking to adopt a dog, a greyhound makes a great choice, and about 75% are cat and small animal friendly.

Thus ends our PSA for today. Mom will try to get some video of me playing. We have some of me outside at dusk, but I blend into the yard too much, and I am so fast, it is hard to get good shots of me.

Tabby Tuesday

Well, I was a brave little man-cat on Sunday. Mom broke out the Temptations, and I consented to have my picture taken. Mom even got a picture of me eating out of her hand. I can be a little bit brave for Temptations.

Sorry for the bad picture, but we wanted to show you how brave I can be for Temptations.

In other news, the computer cord came yesterday, but it didn't fix the problem, so now we have to wait for the De** Dude to come and give us a new mother - oh Mom says, motherboard. Mom likes this company because they are always very polite and fix things fairly fast, but this is about the 10th mother she has had to give her computer. She is talking about getting a new computer as this laptop is almost 5 years old. She says its a good thing she got the 5 year warranty because she is definately using it.

Monday, January 14, 2008

Meezer Monday

Mom has heard from the computer people - we should have our cord today - if the people in red and yellow get it put in the truck today. Mom is certainly hoping they do, because she is addicted to the computer. She is on one about 18 hours a day. Fortunately, she is adept at multi-tasking, or we would be ignored and unloved. She does make sure to go get us to keep her company and gives us skritches often.

Easy Like Sunday Morning

Here we are just relaxing and watching Mom get ready to desert us again (she will only be gone for a few hours). We are borrowing a friend's computer for this post, and should have our computer cord by Monday or Tuesday. Monday's and Tuesday's posts may be a little late, but Mom should be able to do them from work.

Come Home Mao (and an award)

Please come home Mao - we are all very worried about you! Everyone misses you and we think Skeezix may freeze to death without you there to snuggle with him.

Tyler awarded us the Life is Like Hell without Friends award. We are so touched. We feel really lucky that Mom allowed us to have our own blog. We have made so many friends since we started. Thank you Tyler.

We would like to pass on the award to:

Tara, Princess Meezer and Kavan because Tara and Mom share a name and because she and Kavan had a terrible, no good, very bad day recently when they came down the mountain, and they are such good friends to so many kitties.

Buddah and Max, because without them, a lot of kitties and doggies wouldn't be blogging. Buddah's was the very first blog we read, and we discovered an amazing community, and the name of the award just seems made for Max.

And finally, Jeter, because he makes us laf and laf.

Thank you again Tyler.

3x Seven Things

Well the rest of us have been tagged for the seven things meme. Tiki and Tavi did this once together here, but we are going to do it again separately. We are not going to tag anyone becasue it was hard enough to find 7 kitties & doggies yesterday, and we don't think we will be able to find 21 who haven't done this recently. Oh yeah, Tiki and Tavi were tagged by one of Stella's babies, Pollux, and Camie was tagged by Cody.
So, without further ado, here we go.
Camie ~
  1. On my rescue trip home on the bus, I barely touched the ground. Everyone wanted to hold me, so I spent most of the way home riding in laps. I weighed 60lbs. Their legs hurt afterward.
  2. I have only been put in a kennel once - when Mom went to her brother’s wedding. It was only for 3 days, but my personality reverted back to right after I when I was rescued. Mom has refused to put me in a kennel again, so when she goes anywhere, I go and stay with a friend.
  3. I do not really know how to play with toys. I never learned when I was a puppy, and when I see other dogs playing with them, I study them to see what they are doing. I have only played with a stuffed animal about 10 times in 8 years. I like to play by chasing Mom in the front yard and then spinning away from her. I crashed into her head one time and almost gave her a concussion. Mom still has a dent in her head from that one the size of her fingertip.
  4. I hate having to take a walk in the rain, but as soon as I am done walking, I want to play and get all wet. I never smell like wet dog (it’s a greyhound thing).
  5. I don’t bark. I have barked 3 times that I can remember. I scared myself every time. I have a very deep bark.
  6. I get very excited when I see other greyhounds. For over 2 years, I only saw greyhounds and people, so I recognize what a greyhound is.
  7. I love to sleep on my back, but will only do it when I feel comfortable and safe. When we go to someone’s house, Mom can tell when I finally feel comfortable, because I will roll on my back and fall asleep.

Tiki ~

  1. I like to hide under the couch. The couch is against a wall, and Mom can’t get to me from the front. When I was really sick a month ago, I hid under there. Mom had to squeeze behind the couch to get me out.
  2. I like to sleep under the covers between Mom’s legs. I won’t sleep next to her or on her. I have to be in my spot.
  3. I like to give Mom ONE lick on the forehead when she comes home after work. It has to be on the forehead, and only one.
  4. I love to sniff people’s hair when they come to visit me. I get up behind them on the couch and sniff all around. Some people like it, some people don’t. I don’t care.
  5. I don’t like the smell of nicotine. Mom had friend’s who used to smoke (they quit – yea). I would start licking their hands and then bite them. I never bite anyone else.
  6. I don’t like having my stomach touched. You can touch and scratch my chest, but if you get too low onto my stomach, I will bunny kick you - but Mom can kiss me there as long as it isn't too much.
  7. I just found out I love Apple Toaster Strudel. Mom will let me have a little lick of the frosting, but I want the whole thing. I won’t let her eat them in peace. I must have some.

Tavi ~

  1. I have to sit in everyone’s lap who comes over. The more someone doesn’t like animals, the more I have to be in their lap.
  2. I don’t like it when Mom tries to sing to me, whistles, or practices her flute. Whenever I hear any of those, I go and start biting my brothers or sister and meowing at her. If that doesn’t work, I try to bite Mom, but she is a last resort.
  3. I love to have my tummy rubbed. My favorite way to do this is cradled in Mom’s arms like a baby. Then she can rub and kiss my gorgeous belly.
  4. Mom can hold our carrier up in the air, and I will jump into it. If she picks it up to move it or clean under it, I HAVE to come running to get inside it.
  5. I also like to sleep between Mom’s legs, but I have to be on top of the covers. Tiki and I often curl up together, just on opposite sides of the blankets. I also like to sleep on Mom’s back, with my butt towards her head, but she doesn’t like this because…
  6. I have restless tail syndrome (at least Mom thinks there should be something called this). I always twitch my tail. I am perfectly content, and purr, but my tail is always twitching. I even do it when I am napping. It drives Mom nuts when I keep whapping her in the head with my tail.
  7. I don’t like Mom to read books when I am around. If she is reading and not paying attention to me, I will keep batting her book pages with a paw until she pays attention to me.

We may not be visiting much in the next couple of days. Mom's computer cord just fried itself, and we will have to wait for a new one to come in the mail. We will try to keep posting a short note anyway until we get our new cord.

Thursday Thirteen - Cody

I have been tagged for the 7 things meme by Sparky Fuzzypants. I have decided to turn it into a Thirsday Thirteen.
The rules of this Meme are: Link to the person that tagged you and post the rules on your blog. Share seven random weird facts about yourself. Tag seven random kitties at the end of your post, and include links to their blogs. Let each one know they have been tagged by leaving a comment on their blog.
  1. As most of you know, I am a scaredy kitty. Because of this, I haven't been to the vet since I was about 6 months old, because no one can catch me.

  2. I love to snuggle with my brothers.

  3. I LOVE temptations.

  4. I have a special blanket that I like to knead on and suckle. I work one of the strings of the blanket out and suck on it.

  5. I can tell the difference in colors. I will only knead and suckle on a dark colored blanket (blue or green). Mom also has a pink one that I refuse to go near.

  6. I am very loud and demanding when I want food or treats.

  7. I was my first Mom's Mother's Day Gift to herself.

  8. I used to have a sister named Dharma that went to live with Mom's nephew when his Grammie (my first mom) died. She went there to help him get over his grief.

  9. I like to play with toys where I don't have to get close to anyone. I will play with wand toys if they are long enough, or by myself.

  10. I think the red dot game is a bunch of hype. We all know that it is the beans with a light in their hands. We will stare at it for a few minutes, then look at the beans with an expression of "You have got to be kidding me," and then we walk away.

  11. Mom says I have very pretty golden green eyes.

  12. Even though I am a short haired cat, I am very floofy. My furs don't lie flat against my body. They always look like I am scared (at least when anyone has seen me).
  13. One of my nicknames is Ghost Kitty because my Papa, Mom's nephew and Mom are the only ones who have ever seen me. I am very good at hiding. We had a house sitter once for a week, and she never once saw me (and she was staying at the house).

Wow - that was fun. Thanks for tagging me Sparky Fuzzypants.

We didn't tag anyone before, so this time, we are going to tag:

and our own Camie - Tiki and Tavi have been tagged again, so they will be doing theirs tomorrow.

Meezer Rule Wednesday - Snuggles

When the opportunity presents itself to you, always snuggle with a sibling. Greyhounds in particular make great snuggling partners.

We seem to be on a snuggling kick. It is cooler here than we are used to.

Tummy Tuesday - Tavi

This was supposed to be Cody's day to blog since he is a tabby, but he has been only coming out at night for Temptations lately, so you get me instead.

Meezer Monday - Sun Spot

We really wish we could be laying in this sunspot again, but it has been raining off and on since Sunday. January is typically our wetest month. We need the rain, but we miss the nice sunspots. In other news, Mom had to go back to work today. She was not happy to have to get up early again. She really enjoyed her two weeks off.

Easy like Sunday Morning with a bonus

Wow, in this picture, Tiki looks half the size of Tavi, but he isn't. We are about the same length, but Tiki has lost some weight due to his diabetes. I am slowly gaining it back. Mom says she can't see my back bone like she used to. I have been eating like a little piggy too.

Here is a bonus picture. On our Thursday Thirteen about the Tonkinese breed, we mentioned that Tonks have a bump on their nose. Here is an okay picture that Mom finally managed to get.

Snuggly Saturday

Tiki and Tavi snuggling together on our Gizzy Quilt. This was a couple of days ago when we had some sun. It has been raining since yesterday afternoon. Mom is happy because we really need the rain. Last year was our 2nd driest in history and we only missed out on driest by about 1/8th of an inch. It was funny because we went from our 2nd wettest year (July of 2005-June of 2006) to our 2nd driest (July of 2006 to July of 2007).

Mom here ~ some kitties had some questions about how long Cody has been in the family. We got him when he was a kitten - about 7 weeks old, and that was about 7 years ago (I can't remember his exact gotcha year). He was at a Petsmart rescue center, and we didn't find out until later that he, his siblings and his mom were found in the field outside of the store. He was originally my mom's cat, but I inherited him along with Camie. He has never liked being held, or touched, and has only gotten worse since my mom died. He would occasionally let her pet him when he was zoned out suckling and kneading his blanket. He seems to get all of the companionship he needs from the other animals, but I keep trying. I am sooooo glad I discovered temptations from many of you in the cat blogosphere. It has allowed him to start trusting me a little bit. Every time he takes one step closer, it is cause for celebration. I have been able to scratch his cheek for about a second or two, but only while he was actually eating a temptation from my fingers. This time he actually looked at me and allowed me to scratch for about 5 seconds ~ a huge step for him. I will back off for a week and try again. That is how I have gained his trust over the past year. He still runs when anyone comes near him and it isn't his idea, but we are taking baby steps forward. I doubt he will ever be comfortable with being touched much, but I will keep on trying. Thanks for all your concern for him.

"Formerly" Feral Friday

I do NOT like to be any where near people (unless they have temptations*). It has been really hard because the food is now served on Mom's bed and she has been home on Winter Break for almost two weeks, and I have to go up there to get my food *shudder*. Mom caught me trying not to look at her when I was eating.

*Mom was feeding me temptations last night, and I will eat them out of her hand, and the really big news is that Mom scratched my cheek with one finger and I LET her!!! I even stopped eating them and just let her scratch my cheek (I think I may have liked it a little bit). I have NEVER done that! Of course, Mom was laying on her bed, reaching thru the bars at the end, but I still let her touch me.

****Camie wanted to add a clarification about her toenail disease. All of her toenails grew back, but they grow really weird now because the nerves around them are messed up. She doesn't like people to mess with her feet, but Mom insists on playing with them to get her used to having her nails sanded off. Mom uses a Dremel with a sanding bit to trim her nails because she has more control over how much comes off, and with Camie's nails all weird, they tend to split if she just trims them.

Thursday Thirteen ~ Camie

Thirteen things about me:

  1. I am a former racer.
  2. I was adopted directly from the race track in Tiajuana, Mexico. I had been put in the kennel of the retired dogs and my first mom fell in love with me. I was hiding under a tree. She, my now mom and my papa were on a fundraising trip for the greyhound organization they volunteered for. I got to ride home on a brand new tour bus. (I will tell more about this when I tell my gotcha day story)
  3. I HATE riding in the car.
  4. Mom still makes me ride in the car with her to work in the summers - it is 2 miles and during the first week, I pant and whine and hate it. After that, I accept the hand fate has dealt me. I am so well behaved at her work, people often don't know I am there.
  5. I am allergic to grass - my feet get really itchy during the spring and summer, and Mom sometimes makes me wear boots when I am really itchy.
  6. I have a disease called Systemic Lupoid Onychodystrophy - an autoimmune disease which can cause severe claw problems in otherwise apparently healthy dogs. It is characterized by the loss of claws from more than one paw - eventually all claws may be lost. In one summer, I lost all of my claws. It hurt a lot.
  7. The summer I lost all of my claws, I was put on steroids. I was so hungry, I would eat anything I could to try to fill me up. I ate something I shouldn't have (we have no idea what) and it got stuck. It was a very expensive surgery to get whatever it was, out of my intestines. Mom was very poor that summer.
  8. All racing greyhounds are tatooed in both ears. The right ear containes our birth information - it is labled by birth month, birth year and letter of order of being tatooed. Mine is 67E - meaning I was born in June of 1997, and I was the fifth puppy in my litter to be tatooed. The left ear is our registration number - if mine was more clear, Mom could go online and look up my number to see how I did racing, but the middle 3 numbers are the only ones that are clear.
  9. My full name is Cambria, but I am only called that when I am in trouble. I was named after a young girl Mom knew, who was named after her uncle's boat which was probably named after the artist town just north of San Luis Obispo, California. Mom really likes that town.
  10. I have so many nicknames, Mom can't remember them all. Some of the ones I am called the most include, Camie, Bree, Bugsy, Bug, and Boo Bunny. Mom is weird.
  11. When I was first adopted, the tour bus I was on stopped at a rest area to let me go potty (so I wouldn't go in the brand new bus) and I saw a rabbit and almost took my Papa's arm off when I took off after it. I am so placid now, that Mom thinks a bunny could hop in front of me and I would give it a bath.
  12. I love to bathe my kitties.
  13. Mom thinks I was abused before I was adopted. I used to hide my head under the dresser when I slept, I would cringe when people would reach for something above my head, and I used to shake when strangers would stop my mom to ask about me (that happens all the time - you would think no-one had ever seen a greyhound before). Through my mom's love and attention, I now go up to strangers and demand attention and love. I've come a long way, baby.

I have lots more interesting stuff about me, but we will save that for a later time. Have a happy Thursday. ~ Camie
