Easy Like Sunday Morning

Mom has been sleeping a lot, so we are sleeping with her. She said the only thing that would make this picture perfect was if Cody had joined us.

We're Back

Well, we are back, but we are very annoyed with Mom. Here I am telling her off. She came back on Thursday, and we thought she was home for good, but after about an hour, she left us again. She said she was going to go to dinner. Why would she leave us right after getting home? After dinner, she came home for about 2 minutes and then left us AGAIN. She was gone all night. She said she had to wait in line to get us a new laptop. We suppose it was for a worthy cause, but she was supposed to stay home now. She waited in line all night, but got us our laptop. We are very happy about that, and Mom has promised us she is going to sleep for about 12 hours since she wasn't able to sleep Thursday night/Friday morning. She also promised us she would never leave us all night to stand in line again.

PS - We want to wish all of you a belated Happy Thanksgiving. We are so very thankful to have all of you as our friends.

Tabby Tuesday

I refuse to look at Mom. She is leaving us today to go to Las Vegas for 2 nights. She and our Papa are coming home on Thursday (Thanksgiving). She promised us they would leave early so that she would be able to spend some time with us before she goes to dinner. We are going to hold her to her promise. But in the meantime, who is going to give me my Temptations?
We'll see you again on Friday.

Meezer Monday

Mom has been leaving the heating pad out for us (me) to sleep on. It is so toasty warm.

Easy Like Sunday Morning

Here I am just trying to take a pre-nap wash, and I get disturbed by the flashy box. This is so unfair. It's not like we can take pictures of them when they are bathing. Although sticking your head around the shower curtain and just looking at them kind of creeps them out.

Fierce Fighter Day

We know we just posted some pictures of Tiki, but since we are honoring our Fierce Fighters today, we wanted to put this picture up of the Fierce Fighter in our family. He fought long and hard against the diseases that were taking over his body, and we miss him. We love you Tiki.
We also miss all of our friends who have gone to the bridge this year. We know they are all playing together and are healthy now.

Thankful Thursday

Mom wanted a picture of Tiki with wings at the Bridge for our sidebar, but she has not learned photoshop yet, and doesn't have the time to let us visit everyone, let alone learn a new computer program, so she asked Miss Ann at Zoolatry if she would mind making us a picture. She e-mailed her at 2 in the morning our time, and by the time Mom got to work, we had all of these wonderful pictures to choose from. Thank you so much, Miss Ann. They are wonderful. As you can see on the side, we chose a smaller version of the last picture. Aren't they beautiful. We are thankful for all of you and all of the support and hugs and purrs you have given us.

Meezer Rule Wednesday

My rule for today: When it starts to get cold and there isn't a bean or another cat around to cuddle with, cuddle with yourself. It is still pretty warm here during the day - in the 80's but at night, it is getting cool.

Tabby Tuesday

Mom is going to desert us for two whole nights next week. We are very sad about that. She is going to visit her cousins in Las Vegas. She said she will be home on Thanksgiving tho and will spend the rest of the weekend with us. We guess that is okay - we are just going to miss her bunches, so I am giving her my best "Don't leave us" look. Maybe it will work?

Meezer Memory Monday

We are reposting on of Mom's favorite pictures of Tiki and me. We are a little bit sad this weekend because Tiki has been gone from us for a month.

In other news, Mom's friend has not had to evacuate and it looks hopeful that she won't. The fire is spreading north, and she lives south of it/them. She is about 3 miles from what they are now calling the Triange Fire - but which started out as the Yorba Linda/Corona Fire. Distance wise, Mom says it is pretty close - about 10 miles or so (as the crow flies) but by car, it is about 20-25 miles. We are hopeful that the fire will continue to spread to the less populated areas and that the fire fighters will be able to get some containment of it established soon.

As for all of us eating out of the same dish, we seem to be the exception. Mom started that when she brought Tiki and me home. We were so little and so close that she gave us one bowl of food and we would stick both of our heads in and eat. As Dharma, Cody and now Miss Jade have joined the family, they also got to share. Mom did feed Miss Jade out of her own bowl for a few months, but she just kept sticking her nose in our food, so Mom gave up and let her eat with us too.

We're Okay

Hi, we wanted to let everyone know that the fires aren't close enough to us at this time to do more than make the air stinky and ash to fall from the sky.
Mom has a friend that is only about 5 miles away from the fires, and she is in between 2 of them. Mom went over there tonight to help her get everything together that she would need and pack up the car. The only thing Mom's friend has to do is grab her purse, keys, and The Interloper and get in the car. Mom says hopefully it won't come to that, but if it does, she said we can expect the interloper to come here to stay with us for a while with her mom.
We are sending out purrs to all of the people who did loose their homes in the last couple of days, and are purring extra hard that the weather will start to cooperate and the winds will die down and it will get cooler. That will help the firefighters do their job as well.

Sharing on Saturday

We know this isn't the greatest picture, but we wanted to show you what happens when Mom puts out food. We all share a bowl, and we all will take a bite or two, and then Miss Jade pushes the rest of us out of the way until we push her back. We all manage to get enough to eat and if we let Mom know we are still hungry, she will open up another can of food for us to continue sharing, because sometimes, you know, somecats can be greedy and eat more than their share.

(Mom couldn't get any closer, or Cody would have hopped down)

Thursday Thirteen

Mom left us alone on Tuesday when she was supposed to be home with us to go see our human cousin and his new kitten. We decided to allow her to put up some pictures of Einstein because he is so cute. He is now 5-1/2 weeks old. Our human cousin N adores him, and Dharma is getting better about sharing her house with Einstein. She is now going up to his "crib" and sniffing it. Mom thinks by the end of the week, she should pretty much accept Little Einstein.

We are a little worried about all the fauning Mom has done over Little Einstein, but she keeps promising us no more kittens. Of course she did promise us no more cats, and we ended up with Miss Jade (not that we would trade her for anycat). But, it does prove to us that Mom's promises don't mean much - mol.

Meezer Rule Wednesday

My rule for today: Mom's should really clean up the floor before taking pictures of a kittie's cuteness, if they don't want to show bits of paper, plastic, and one of our favorite toys (the fork).

Veteran's Day/Rememberance Day

I'm a little sad thinking about all of the soldiers that have given their lives to help protect us, but also grateful. The Mom-Lady-Person said that sometimes in the excitement of having a day off of work, some people forget what this day is really about. We will be taking a moment to remember today.

Our Canadian friends also observe Rememberance Day today. They also honor their soldiers. In honor of them:

Meezer Monday

Here I am giving Mom Lazer Eyes because she was gone most of the weekend. She was pet-sitting her niece's mother-in-law's poodle. We kind of feel sorry for the dog because he was neglected for the first year of his life. Without realizing it (until later) the lady was at a puppy mill. Someone she knew had gotten a puppy there a couple of years earlier and got a healthy dog, and then the person got greedy and started breeding the dogs out of control. Our friend had the dog for a day when he jumped off the couch and broke his leg. After a $4000 surgery, the V-E-T said that the dog (Danny) was severely calcium deficient because his mother had been over bred and he had also been de-barked by having his vocal cords punctured. The V-E-T said that there were two ways to do it (if someone was going to be that cruel) and they picked the crueler of the two. He now sounds like he has laryngitis when he barks. He was also kept in a kennel the first year of his life, so he can't run in a straight line - if he wants to get from point A to point B, he runs in circles while he is getting there. Mom said that he refused to come near her all weekend unless she chased him down and cornered him to pick him up. She did come back to visit us and take care of us, but she just wasn't around.

Then last night, she was visiting with her nephew, and she came home smelling of something strange. This is where our sister/cousin Dharma lives. But that isn't who she smelled like. She smelled like another strange kitty. Her nephew got a kitten last night. The kitten was abandoned by his mother when he was just a week old or so. He is now 5-weeks old and came to live with him. The kitten is still drinking from a bottle but is starting to eat solid foods, and Dharma is not happy yet, but it was the first night. His name is going to be Einstein. Mom says he has a ways to go to grow into the name, but eventually he will. We think that is all the news that is fit to print for now.

Sleepy Saturday

Mom, do you think maybe you could come back later when I am not so sleepy.

Formerly Feral Friday & Awards

Mom has been getting some pretty good pictures of me lately if I do say so myself. She gets me out of hiding by tempting me with Temptations. Makes you wonder if that is why they call them that.
We also got the following awards from Pearl, Bert and Jake. Thank you so much. We feel honored. They gave us any or all of three awards. We decided not to be greedy and take them all, especially since we had already gotten the one two times.

We are going to pass on the awards to:

Chance, his new sister, Little Imp, and their woofie Shadow.

Wicky Wuudler and his siblings because they finally got a blog,

and Chance, Latte and Kaze

Meezer Rule Monday

My rule for today: Sometimes, you just have to sleep cute. It makes Mom's heart melt.

Tabby Tuesday

It's hard work being this cute. It required frequent periods of rest and relaxation.

Meezer Monday

I'm just hanging around. We finally got some rain this weekend after 5 months without any. It made Mom very happy.
