As we said on Tuesday, Mom went back to work after being home with us for a little over a month. She works for a school and is considered an 11-month employee, so she works for 11 months, and doesn't work for one.
Here are Thirteen things that have or haven't happened because she went back to work:
1) Camie got mad and pooped in our room. :(
2) We have been snuggling a LOT with Mom when she comes home. :)
3) We got used to being fed later, and now we are being fed early, so our food clocks are all messed up. We still want to be fed at a later breakfast time, so we are starving when Mom comes home for lunch. :(
4) Because of #3, we get a small snack for lunch. :)
5) Mom hasn't been letting us visit our friends at the times we are used to. :(
6) Mom didn't come home for lunch and her nap yesterday because she was working on mailing papers. :(
7) Camie got mad and pooped in our room again. :(
8) Camie also got into 4 Cup of Soups that Mom obviously didn't have stored high enough and got styrofoam, noodles and dry powdery stuff all over Mom's bed. :(
9) Mom hasn't taken any new pictures of us. :(
10) We won't leave Mom alone when she comes home. :)
11) Mom has been tired, but can't sleep, so she is vegging a lot and reading a lot (which means not as much time visiting with our friends). :( & :) (lap time)
12) Mom told us she won't be home until realllllllllllly late next Tuesday and Wednesday, and she might not be able to make it home for our lunch nap either. :( :( :(
13) We miss Mom a lot, but are sure glad when she gets home. :)
All in all, we are glad that Mom is back to work because it means more treats, but we miss being able to be aloof because she was around all the time.

well, that's a big change, it will take all of you's some time to get into a new roo-teen.
Purrs,
KC
It us hard readjusting to a new rhythm. We must tell on Mom, - she laughed and laughed at #7 & #8.
It's hard to get used to some new things. But I guess that our parents have to go hunting so we can keep getting food and stuff...
it is a big change, we still hate it when mommy leaves efurry morning
oh, us cats DO NOT like new things at all....new routines are just horrid. i hope you survive...but bear in mind that your meowmie is out earning salmon tokens for you all xxx
Yes, it's always rough when mom changes the schedule on us. My mom used to be a professor and I would get used to the summer and winter breaks. Now she works twelve months a year and she is hardly ever home.
Work really gets in the way of our routines, doesn't it? Grrrr
OH NO!! Thats not right! To let you into a false security that she was staying home all the time? What to do, what to do? I think Camie has the right idea - just saying ...

Our food time has been disrupted, too. We have to stare at Momma a lot. Sometimes that does not work, because she has to take care of the foster cat.

It's a terrible thing when an established routine is disrupted. I don't blame Camie for all that pooping! ;-)
Don't you just hate changed schedules?
Mommy taking classes means that two nights a week she isn't here when we expect her to be . . . and even though Grandmama comes over to feed the doggies their dinner and check on us, it just isn't the same AT ALL.

How are you doing, Cody? Is your clock messed up too?

Well bless your little hearts. Maybe you can buzz over here for a little while and we'll help you deal with your pain.

I hate changes in routines! I know exactly when it is time to eat and don't like it when my mom isn't home to feed me!
Purrrrrrrrs, Willow
Poor Camie seems to be very upset! Getting used to new routines can be hard.
We Ballicai aren't crazy about new rootines, eithur! Hang in there!
Kittyhugs and purrs from MaoMao!
We know about #13, now dat mom is home alla time we ignore her fur a couple days and den demand attentshun. Constant attention.
Cammie that is horrible of you!
You has company while your Momma iz away putting foodz on your plates and roofs over your heads!
My Momma says when she fist got my big sister Mushka she used to go to work coz Dadda was studying and she would cry her eyes out at leaving her alonez.
You are lucky! Your not alone, you should respect the MOmma more!! :)
We iz lucky, there is no routine here, dadda works such funny hours all the time we are always different :)
