Fundraiser - scroll down for new posts

(Thank you Diamond Emerald Eyes for the graphic)

Hi, We are going to have a fund raiser for Mu Shue, Lilly Lu and Iris. Daisy kind of gave us the idea with this post.

On Thursday, May 1st, we would like for everyone to post their favorite Knock-Knock joke with a picture to go along with it on their blog, and we will donate $ 0.50 for every blog that participates. We will get Mom to figure out Mr. Linky so please stop back by here to let us know. If we can't get it figured out, leave us a comment. So for instance, with Daisy's knock-knock joke, she could have had a bananer in every picture and then an orange in the last, or just one picture with a bananer. Please be creative and use your favorite knock knock joke. We already know which joke we want to use, we just have to have Mom take our picture in the correct place. Photoshop if you want to. We can't wait to see what you come up with. Have Fun!

Scroll down for New Posts.

Meezer Rule Wednesday Times Two

First, an explanation - we have had an automatic litterbox almost since they were invented, and we all love it - us cats because we always have a nice clean litterbox, and mom because while she does have to scoop occasionally, it is not more than once a day or once every other day. That being said, we were on our second littermaid in about 14 years when suddenly on Sunday morning, Mom sensed something was wrong. She wasn't hearing the usual whirring noise it makes. She looked at it and noticed that the raking arm was stuck half-way down the box. With three cats, and with Tiki being diabetic, our litterbox gets a workout - Tiki pees a LOT. So later that day, Mom went off to the store to replace our litterbox with our 3rd one. She thinks the motor burned out, and she thinks for a machine that gets as much use as the litter maid, having 2 motors go out in approximately 14 years isn't that bad. Keep reading for Tavi's rule.Tavi's Rule - You must always play king of the box, especially when a large box comes in.
Our new box - it is different than our last one - but we won't get into that now.
Here is Tiki's Rule - Make your mom say "Squee" by giving your brother a bath and showing off your teeth and tongue. (Thanks for the word Marilyn, Mao, Brainball, and Dory)
Don't forget to post a knock knock joke tomorrow - if you are having trouble finding jokes - you can go here or here.

Get Well Friends

We were so sorry to hear that Storm's cancer had returned. We are purring hard for you. We were also sorry to hear that Orange Boy had been bitten by a rattlesnake. How scary for his family. Get well soon, and let your mommy take good care of you. That goes for you too, Stormie.

Meezer Monday - Double the Pleasure, Double the Fun

Here I am in Mom's arms, waiting for the results on my evening blood test. She picks me up and cuddles me like this and pricks me, and then cuddles me as we wait for the results. I don't usually mind my tests which is a good thing since I have to be tested at least twice a day before my breakfast and dinner. You can see my box of testing supplies in the background - it is the top plastic box with the orange corner. The bottom box is a first aid kit. It is a people one, but mom uses a lot of the supplies for us too.
Here I am under the table in our room. Mom sits at the table to give me my blood test. As I said above, I don't really mind the test, but I am not going to volunteer to give up my blood either, and I will usually crawl under here to make it difficult for Mom. It is also a good place to hang out after your belly is full - as mine is here (I had just eaten and wanted to hang out).

Here are the rules
1) Write your own six word memoir.
2) Post it on your blog and include a visual illustration if you’d like.

5) Don’t forget to leave a comment on the tagged blogs with an invitation to play.
6) Have fun!!

Okay - we are going to cheat a little and combine a couple of us together.

Here is Camie's

Run for FUN now. Much better.

Here is Cody's

Temptations delish. People scary. Still loved.

Here are Tiki's and Tavi's (well, really, this fits for all of us)

Tremendously spoiled. Tremendously loved. Life's good.

We aren't going to tag 20 people, but we are going to tag a couple. We would like to tag:

Thank you Zoolantry

We want to thank Zoolantry once again. They made us this fabulous picture. We all loves it. Mom especially loves how it looks like Tiki is cuddling with Camie and Cody and Tavi are cuddling. We have the best friends.

Friends on Friday

Happy Gotcha Day Lilly Lu! We've gone pink for you.
We would also like to thank Zoolantry for the graphic they made of us. We have added it to use as our profile picture. We will post it larger tomorrow. This day is about Lilly Lu, but we did want to publicly thank Zoolantry. We love it!

Thursday Almost Thirteen

Mom is a bit of a geek. She likes technology and for the most part, gets along with it. She can get most machines, printers, copiers, etc. to work for her, when other people are having problems with it. She also tends to drool over the latest gadgets that come out, although she doesn't always buy it/them (she really wants an Amazon Kindle). That being said, she really didn't want to get an iPod, but finally broke down and got one before her recent dessertion of us. Now she can't imagine why she was ever resistant to getting one. She really likes it. She loaded some pictures on it of loved ones that she couldn't live without seeing every day she was gone - and these are the ONLY pictures she has loaded onto it. We present Mom's iPod pictures.

Meezer Rule Wednesday

When Mom brings home something weird, make sure to investigate it thoroughly!

In case you can't tell what they are, they are Green Boiled Peanuts. Mom goes all squishy for boiled peanuts. She was an Air Force brat (her dad, our Papa, was in the Air Force for 26 years) and they spent 2 years in Valdosta, Georgia (where some of our blogging friends live - hello ;) ). She was taught the joys of eating boiled peanuts there. What we think is even more funny, when she was in Washington DC, she ran into a huge high school band from Valdosta. She says there weren't as many people living in Valdosta 30 something years ago when she lived there as there were in the band (a slight exaggeration, but not much).

We would like to pass it on to Latte, Kaze and Chase.

Meezer and Mancat Monday

More pictures of our prizes and us playing with them. And yes, Mom is lazy and hadn't put her suitcase away yet. It is now put away tho. She did that yesterday. Hehe. Nothing like a picture of her laziness to get her moving.
The pompoms are great fun. Cody is very interested in them, but won't come too close because Mom has to reach out and pick them up and that means that she has to get close to him. Tiki was even checking them out and batting at them.

Prizes

When Mom came home from her friend's house yesterday, there was a package for us. It was from Skeeter, LC and Ayla. They wanted some kitty statues for their front steps and we gave them a couple of websites to look at. They sent us some real live dead catnip some temptations and some of their famous pom poms. They were right - they are lots of fun. We will post more pictures later of us having fun.

Saturday Stroller Ride

We got to go on another stroller ride. It looks like it was really dark out, but it was twilight - about 7:00 pm..
Tiki doesn't like the stroller as much as Tavi. He would rather get out and explore and walk around. This is the second of his "great escapes."

After Tiki got out the second time, Mom picked him up and just held him and Tavi got to ride alone. He hates walking with his harness and leash on. He would rather ride. Tiki meows the whole time he is in the stroller, unless he can get out an explore and walk around, and Tavi just sits quietly taking everything in.

Finally Friday

It isn't the greatest picture, but Mom finally managed to get all three of us in one picture. She has been trying for MONTHS to do this. She can get 2 of us together, but never all three of us. We hope everyone has a restful weekend.

Thursday Thirteen

We were going to post 13 pictures of us Mom took with her on her iPod, but our wireless router bit the dust, so we are having to use dial-up and it is taking forever to load one picture........so, instead, we will give you 13 phrases Mom said 13 or more times last week.
  1. Ladies and gentlemen - stop talking and pay attention.

  2. Ladies and gentlemen - get in your chaperone groups.

  3. Ladies and gentlemen - stop chewing gum on the bus, in the memorial, in Williamsburg, etc.

  4. Ladies and gentlemen - what time do we need to meet?

  5. Ladies and gentlemen - you need to remember to go in groups of 4 or more.

  6. Ladies and gentlemen - remember to be quiet as we go into the hotel. We are going to be around normal people.

  7. Ladies and gentlemen - I've already answered what we are going to be doing next (for the rest of the day, tomorrow, etc.) but I will answer one (50) more time(s).

  8. Ladies and gentlemen - you have been doing a great job so far - keep making me proud.

  9. Ladies and gentlemen - we have received lots of complements - lets keep it up.

  10. Ladies and gentlemen - remember, we are going to be in a restaurant with normal people. Use an indoor voice. You have been great so far - keep it up.

  11. Ladies and gentlemen - I know you are tired, so am I, but you are doing a great job. Just a little bit longer and we will be at the hotel.
  12. Ladies - Turn off the hormones and pay attention for a while.
  13. Gentlemen - I am tired of seeing the baseball (plaid, blue striped, etc.) underwear- pull up your pants.

Meezer Rule Wednesday

Our Rule for today - When your mom is leaving for a trip - try to look as cute as possible before she leave and snuggle as much as possible so she misses you so much while she is gone that she hurries home to you.
BTW - Mom caught a cold her last day of her trip and was so tired from it that she slept until 3:00 pm yesterday, so she only partially unpacked. She did get her clothes washed, but the rest of the stuff is still sitting in the middle of our room. And our DSL line is down again, so we are sneaking on at mom's work.

Tabby Tuesday

Here Cody is checking out Mom's suitcase, backpack, and computer case when she came home. They all had lots of interesting smells on it.
She still hasn't unpacked. She has said that she will do that today. She is taking the day off to finish catching up on her sleep. She always takes a big suitcase that she says is half full of stuff for the students (in case they forget something). The backpack has a complete first aid kit and all of the emergency medical releases for the students in it, and Mom's personal supplies - like her wallet and lip goo.

She also takes our laptop because she is the official photographer and downloads the pictures every night to make a back up copy in case something happens to her camera. This picture above is the one that was supposed to be published with our Meezer Monday picture, but as you can see, Mom didn't get it done until now. She forgot the camera card at home and then forgot her card reader at work. When she went back for it, she couldn't even find it, so she went and bought a new one to use at home. She said it never hurts to have more than one.
She is hoping to get the pictures uploaded to flickr sometime today and we will put a link for anyone who wants to see them. She doesn't want to subject everyone to 250+ pictures of her trip (unless they want to be subjected). We will be sending out the prize packages for our 2 contests by the end of this week. Mom got something back east to send in the packages for the picture contest.

Meezer Monday

Hi All,
We are back, but more importantly Mom is back!!!! We were so happy to see her. She actually got back late Saturday night and slept most of yesterday. She says that she had a great time like always, but 6 days of being on the go from 6 am to 10 pm with 45 kids is hard work.
We have pictures of us, but Mom can't find the camera cord. She has it packed somewhere. So she will post the picture from her work tomorrow where she has a card reader.
In other news, we were so excited to hear about Mu Shue, Lilly Lu and Iris. We are so glad they are safe.
We were also so sorry to hear about Miral. Our hearts go out to Ruis and his family.

Easy Like Sunday Morning

Playing with a feather wand.

We will be gone for the next week while Mom takes her group to Washington DC and the surrounding area. We will try to visit if we can, but otherwise, we will be back on Monday, April 14th. We will miss everyone.

Guest Star on Saturday - Dharma

This is our cousin/sister Dharma. She used to be our sister until April Mom died. (Mom's mom). Tara Mom (our mom) adopted Cody and Camie and would have taken Dharma too, but her nephew N. was very sad that his Grammy died. In order to help him with his grief, he was told that Grammy asked him to take care of her. He adores Dharma, and would spoil her even more than she is if he could. We thought would introduce her today. Isn't she pretty? She is very tiny too - she only weighs about 4 or 5 lbs, and she is very ladylike in her mannerisms. Tara Mom really likes how it looks like her face is cut in half with one half being more orange and the other half being more brown/black.

Formerly Feral Friday

Playing with our catnip carrot. It is okay to play with. I really like feathers on a string.

Thursday Thirteen

Thirteen things mom did in our room this week:

1. Cleaned up the feather toy.

2. Found our toys.

3. Played with Tiki.

4. Played with Tavi.

5. Played with Cody.

6. Moved the table from the center of the room to the corner by the bookcase.

7. Moved our feeding station to the shelf right above the table.

8. Moved our water and Camie's food station to our room.

9. Gave us temptations.

10. Moved our Gizzy from the chair to the floor in the center of the room.

11. Tested Tiki's blood.

12. Fed us.

13. Gave Tiki his insulin.

Mom decided to move our feeding station to our room so Camie wouldn't get into it as much. She loves to eat our food (we are really good at returning the favor). We used to be fed on top of our cat stand, but Tiki can no longer get to the top. He has trouble jumping up onto things higher than a bed or chair. Anyway, this way, Camie can't get to it, but Tiki can use the chair and then the table to get to the food, and we aren't getting food on her bed. The table is also where Mom sits to test Tiki's blood sugar.

Meezer Rule Wednesday

When you have a feather toy, make sure you kill it all the way dead.
If you go back here, you will see it "alive."
