Easy Like Sunday Morning

Here we are having a good nap on Sunday morning while Mom goes and does a 10K walk. We can't wait for her to come home. She will lie down, and then we will get to take another nap with her.

Karen Jo did a limerick for Camie yesterday, and she has done one for me (Tavi) today. Thank you so much Karen Jo. We are so honored. You did a great job on them, and captured us perfectly.

Napping is the best way to pass the time while Mom is away. I am glad that Camie and Tavi like their limericks. With any luck, Tiki and Cody will get their limericks very soon.

Napping on Sunday mornings is very fun and relaxing. My Mommie sometimes takes a nap in the afternoon and I get to snuggle then.

Oh I was just watching a Tivoed program of "Barking Mad" an animal behavior managment show. There was a cat on the show named Cookie. It made mom think of Cody right away. The expert recommended that the owner play wand toy games with her without giving her direct eye contact. If offered her treats the same way. Once Cookie gained enough confidence to be out on the bed with the owner's back towards her, the owner turned around a bit more each day. Once Cookie could see the owner's face the lady would mimic the cat's facial expression. So if her eyes were closed resting, the lady would do the same. She worked with the cat this way for over 6 weeks and Cookie became more and more comfortable at home. Cookie never became a lap cat, but the relationship between owner and cat improved. Cody has it better because he has relationships with Tiki and Tavi and you don't seemed worried about the guy. I just wanted to share what I saw with you.
