Meezer Monday

Well, we got back from our v-e-t a little while ago. Mom says we got lucky because I got the v-e-t she likes the best there. He does seem a little bit more gentle and kind when he examines me.

Anyway, they stole some of my furs, my blood and my urine, and are going to send it in to be tested. They also took my blood pressure, and it is high, so they gave mom some medication for me to take at least until they get the report back. It is a very, tiny, itty bitty pill - and I only have to take 1/4 of it once a day. Mom says it's going to be a pain in the hiney to cut it into quarters.

Yes I think cutting that will be a challenge. I hope that you get better and they get to the bottom of what is going on!

We will keep you in our purrs and hope it is not too hard for your Mom to get you to take your medicines.

Wow, those ARE tiny pills, Tavi! They are even smaller than the appetite stimulants my human gets from the vet for me - and she has a hard time dividing THOSE into quarters!

I hope the tests tells the vet a good treatment for you, so you get better from the stroke, or whatever terrible thing it was that happened to you yesterday.

Those pills ARE teeny tiny! How is your mom going to cut those into quarters? We hope your test results are positive ones, and that you are all better soon.

We hope the tests give you an idea of what's going on with you, dear. But, we hope it is something easily cured!!! (((hugs)))

We're going to keep up the purrs and prayers until you are all better. Mom says we're lucky that our V-E-T always cuts the pills for us! Mom makes a mess when she tries to do it herself.

When my mom had to chop up weensie BP pills for our Jonathan, she went to the drug store and got a little pill chopper. You just put the little pill in the little plastic holder and whap the little blade real fast. It works!

They are pretty cheap too.

Be sure to take those pills Tavi - hope they find out what is going on!

Does your mom have a pill splitter? I hope the medicine helps.

OUR vet wants ta shake us out of our PTUs. We don't like that and neither does The Big Thing. So we think we are gonna get a new V-E-T.

We are glad you are doing better Tavi. Tell your Mom to get a pill cutter/splitter, that will make it easier, even with a pill that small. We will be purring for you!

There's no way your mom can cut that pill into quarters...it's already smaller than a dime! ;o)

We just hope it helps you feel better & that all your tests come back ok.

It might be easier to chop up those pills with a pill splitter. Most drugstores have them, and they are not real expensive (at least, they weren't when our Food Source git his). If you have a regular drugstore, and not too many pills, you might even get the pharmacist to split them for you.

The problem is gonna be grabbing one of those little pieces without either losing it or crushing with your fingers.

Oh Tavi, poor puss. We hope you can get over the stroke well and swiftly, cats recover well from strokes more often than not.

Our Angel had the teensy pills for blood pressure. They were called Istin and they worked really, really well. She had to have ....wait for it....one eighth of a pill a day.... yep 1/8

We got our Dad ape to do the pill chopping once a week. He'd chop the pill using a firm scalpel blade resting the pills on tissue, then wrap each itty bitty piece in cling film (including the tiny crumbs and dust) so there was a dose ready for each day. He tried a pill cutter but it just crushed the pill once it was less than half :(

You get lots of rest Tavi. We hope your blood results are good and your Mom is feeling better now too

Rumbly purrs and love

We hope your tests come out A-OK! Sorry about the pills, though. Pills are pills, after all. Does your mom have one of those special pill cutters? My mom finally caved in and got one when she had to quarter Pepcid pills for Olivia.
