A lot of kitties have been asking to see what our litter box set up looks like - so here it is: 1) Our litter box on top of two drawers back to back
2) The one drawer is turned upside down with the drawer taken out and put in upside right. We put a lawn bag in as a liner.
3) Here is the drawer taken out - we just tuck the bag around the drawer - they are 33 gallon sized.
4) The drawers are sterlite 45 gal sized. (Oops - Sterilite - and 45 qt - Thanks Tyler's Mom)
5) The drawer is 20 inches wide6) by 17-1/2 inches long
7) by 11-1/2 inched high8) The overall height of the back of the littermaid on the drawers is about 22 or 23 inches - it is a bit blurry - but definately under 2 feet.
Some of you have asked about ease of getting in and out. Tiki is having a hard time jumping due to neuropathy because of his diabetes. The lining covering his nerves is being "eaten" away leaving the nerves exposed, so he has some pain and when he jumps, it makes it worse. He can easily step up (or take a short jump up) into the box without any problems.
With the three of us, Mom could empty the drawer every other week - but she does it at least once a week and sometimes twice. It doesn't smell, but it get heavy if Mom leaves it too long.
If you have any questions, leave us a message.

Wowee, how did your mom ever think of that? She must have a hidden engineer within her. That is quite a clever design. We are all very impressed. We might be trying your design. Thank you very much for sharing it!
Cammie, kitties and mom, Ty'er's mom here. I found an error, you wrote that it was 45 gal. drawers but after biggifying your label I read that it is 45 qt. Also the brand name is Sterilite. I hope you don't mind the corrections, but after searching unsuccessfully for 45 gal drawers online, I thought others might benefit from the correction.
Thanks, I'm excited to try this!
Bye,
Lynn

What a great set-up! Your mommy is very smart to be able to come together with it.
That really is a clever setup you have there! Your mommy did a great job! Our momma can be real organized like that too, but lately she's been slacking ... hee hee!
