Temptation Time & Doodle

Here is how I get to eat my temptations. I don't like to come up on the bed unless I get really brave, but Mom moves around too much because her back hurts when she sits upright on it. She needs the back support of a chair. Anyway, because she moves around too much, it is much safer and less scary to remain on the floor to get my treats.

Here is our doodle of a witch. There is a reason why she is pink. It has to do with a children's story Mom has written about a good witch and her cousin who gives her poison ivy to plant. She ends up going out on Halloween covered in calamine lotion so she doesn't disappoint the children.

Tabby Tuesday, Doodle & Award

Another picture of Cody during Temptation and Greenies time. Mom loves how it shows off his beautiful green eyes. We received this award from our new friend Grete at Cory Cat Blog. They have 7 cats and a woofie and take in fosters too. They are a lot like the Gibb's Creek Cats. We have already received this award once, so we aren't going to pass it on to the 10 blogs that we are supposed to. We would like to pass it on to everyone who stopped by to leave us purrs, hugs and condolences when Tiki went to the bridge. Mama is doing okay. She has bad times - mostly when she is really tired and ready to sleep. Tiki was her cuddler and always slept with her. The rest of us come and go and she misses that. But her good times outweigh her bad times, and she loves remembering all the love he gave her.

We would however like to pass this on to one blog in particular (just because Camie is so excited to see some greyhounds blogging) - Scout and Jack of Two Greyhound Town. Their mom does most of the talking, but Camie is going to try to convince them that they need to do some more.

Easy Like Sunday Morning & Doodle Pumpkin

The Mom Lady Person has been gone a lot this weekend. She worked Friday until 8:00 pm and yesterday from 7:30 until 4:00 pm and she said she is going to be going back in today and working from 8:00 until noon. Then she says she is going to come home and collapse. We have missed her, but can't wait for her to come home so we can nap with her. This is what we have been doing in the mean time. She said she might be taking a day off this week to make up for all the extra time she has been working.

Finally Friday

We are glad that it is finally Friday, and we get to have Mom home for a couple of days.

Tuckered Out Thursday

I am tuckered out today. It has been a hard week. I have had to beg for food waaaaay too much. I should never have to ask for food, much less as much as I have had too. The Mom Lady Person should just look at me and go put food in our dish.

We are still borrowing a computer, and the room mate we borrowed it from, is using it again, so that is why we haven't been visiting as many of you as we would like. The Mom Lady Person says we should have a new one around Thanksgiving. She is working a lot of overtime, and our Uncle M said that there should be some good sales on "Black Friday." Why would they call a Friday Black? The only time we have had a black Friday was when there was smoke in the air, and then it was more like a brown color.

Cody didn't really want his picture taken because he wanted to go to bed too after he got his treats. He was protesting the fact that Mom had a camera in her hand instead of his treats.

Perfect Timing

We got a package in the mail guaranteed to cheer us up! It was from none other than Skeezix!

We won a pair of shoes for commenting when he was guest hosting on Snuzzy. They are, as Mom puts it, stinkin' cute. We don't know why she thinks they smell because they haven't even been on her feet yet. Mom doesn't have a pair of socks here because she is either barefoot or in her Birkenstocks. She thought she had a pair of socks at Papa's house, so she ran down there and managed to find ONE pair. Its better than when her nieces where little and she had to buy a pair of socks to play with them in an indoor play area because she didn't own a pair then.

Thank you Skeezix. This cheered us up. Your timing is impeccable.

We want to thank everyone for their condolences. We will be around personally soon to thank everyone, but we also wanted to thank you now. We are doing okay. We miss Tiki, but know he is in a better place with our Grammy.

Goodbye My Love

The last pictures I took of my baby.

I want to thank everyone for their purrs and thoughts over the last two days. Tiki got much worse last night and could no long walk more than a step or two. I could tell in his eyes that he was tired. He was tired of fighting and tired of being sick, and just plain tired. I felt that the best, most loving thing I could do for him was to let him rest. So, I took him to the vet this morning, and helped him over the bridge.

He is now resting with my other pets in the garden at my Dad's house. I am heartbroken, of course. But I also know that all of you have helped so much. Thank you for all of the purrs and prayers and thoughts you have sent our way. This community is one of the most wonderful places in the world!

V-E-T Visit?

Mom is calling the V-E-T today to see if anything can be done about Tiki. We may not be visiting much today.

We aren't going to do a rule today - just an update. Mom is very worried about Tiki. He isn't eating very well. She is having to spoon feed him and he isn't even eating much of the baby food he loves so much. He looks like he has lost more weight, and just wants to sleep a lot. Please purr for him.

Feast on Friday

Here are some pictures of us enjoying the boiled chicken our room mate made for us. She comes and gives us some a couple of times a week. She started making chicken for us when she heard about my CRF. I ate more today than I have in a while, so I also made Mom happy.

Thursday Thankfulness

We decided to say what we are thankful for today.

Tavi - I am thankful that Mom doesn't get too annoyed when I bang on the door to go out of our room. Sometimes she even lets me out.

Tiki - I am thankful for my heating pad, and my Garfield bed.

Cody - I am thankful for Temptations and Greenies.

Miss Jade - I am thankful that the big woofiecat hasn't eaten me yet. She even likes to take naps next to me. I guess I don't think she will eat me anymore.

Camie - I am thankful I don't have to run anymore unless I want to, and I am thankful for Mom's bed to sleep on when she goes to work.

Meezer Rule Wednesday

Mom plugged in one of our favorite things in the whole wide world. She plugged in the heating pad. She sets it on low and puts a towel over it for us to lay on. It is sooooo cozy. So, our rule for today is...When your Mom does something nice just for you, make sure you give her snuggles to thank her.

Awards

We received this award again from The Gibb's Creek Cats and from Topcat Rules. If you haven't been to the Gibb's Creek Cats, they are a group of seven cats with a couple of fosters thrown in for good luck (we think we have the numbers right).

And Topcat Rules had a wonderfully fun game this summer where we got to try to name different objects, plants, flowers, cat breeds, etc. that began with each letter of the alphabet. Our favorite was naming Australian towns. We got to explore Australia if only on a map. Thank you so much both of you for the award. We are going to do what so many of our friends do and give it to anyone who hasn't received it yet. We love you all.

The two of us snuggling before Tiki gets his fluids. That is a blanket over Tiki. It blends in really well with his furs. She has a new nickname for him. She has starting calling him Squishy, because the lump where the fluids sit until they are absorbed is squishy. So, she calls him Squishy or Squishy Skinny Mini.

Sunday Snuggle

This is how Mom holds me for my vitamins and to check my blood sugar. I don't mind as long as I get let go as soon as it is over. I usually sit still long enough for whatever needs to be done, and then struggle as soon as it is over. It is kind of fun to be snuggled tho.

Mom Has Been Bad

Mom has been bad. She hasn't taken any pictures of us in the last couple of days. She came home from work early on Wednesday and Thursday, and didn't go into work at all yesterday. All she has been doing is sleeping and sniffling. She said something about her sinus' and a bad headache and miserable kids who made her sick. Some of us have been happy to have Mom home and some not. When Mom is home, she shuts us in the room with her so she can sleep, and a certain cat who shall remain nameless, but he is the light colored Tonk, hate the door to be shut because he can't roam around and yowl for no reason. Some of the rest of us have loved the extra nap time with Mom. Hopefully Mom will start taking pictures of us for tomorrow.

Formerly Feral Friday

Digging for treats in my blanket. Mom hides treats for me so I can find them throughout the night. It's lots of fun!

Answers and Awards on Thursday

Some kitties have asked how I, Tiki, am doing now that I have been on fluids for a week. Mom says she notices that I am a little more active. She sees me out of my bed more, and walking around the rest of the house. I used to typically spend most of the time in my Garfield bed, but now will walk around for a bit. Mom has also switched the food that we are eating. She isn't sure yet what kind of food she is going to feed us in the long run. She is having us try both Evo and Wellness. She is leaning more toward the Evo because both Jade and I had upset tummies the one night we ate it, and we didn't like it as much as we like the Evo. She is going to try us on it one more time and see how we do. We are only allowed to eat canned, but that is what we ate anyway. If anycat is eating one of these foods, would you please leave us a comment about what you think about it.

She also bought us a fountain exactly like Max's and Buddah's. I am the only one she has caught drinking out of it so far, but she keeps putting Jade and Tavi up there by it. Cody will have to find it on his own as skittish as he is.
