Here I am posing on the afghan Mom finished last night. It is very soft and warm to sleep on. I keep trying to take a nap on it, but Mom makes me leave.
This is a dark picture, but Mom was trying to show the size of it. It is almost the length of a queen size bed, and covers about 2/3 of the mattress width.
And here is a close up of the texture. The pattern is called Basketweave Throw. Mom got the pattern from
Lion Brand Yarn. She said it took her about 6 or 7 days/nights of crocheting about 5 hours at a time. She watched DVDs while she worked on it. The good news is that there is enough yarn left over for Mom to crochet or knit a blanket for me, and maybe one for one of our kitty friends.
