This, That and The Other

We received these awards earlier this week from our new friends - Skitto, Chayanne, and Peanut. Thank you so much ladies. We are not going to pass them on because we have received these before. Thank you again.

We also were tagged for the 8 random things meme a looooong time ago by Tavi's twin, Vampy Victor. We are sorry it has taken us so long to get to this.

1. When I am out "exploring" at night, and Mom has closed the door with me outside, I knock on the door to get her to let me back in. (Cody)

2. Mom got a new duvet, and I love to sleep on top of it. It is like sleeping in a cloud. (Tavi)

3. I don't bark. I just whine a lot. I whine to let Mom know I want to play with her, I whine to let Mom know I need to go out, and I whine to ask for treats. (Camie)

4. I have super soft furs now. The Mom person says that I feel a lot like a silky, long haired bunny. (Miss Jade)

5. I let Mom know when it is treat time. I sit and stare at the treat jar, and meow...loudly. (Cody)

6. I gave my brother kisses goodbye. (Tavi)

7. I can sniff out chocolate no matter where Mom hides it. Mom says I have been incredibly lucky considering how much I've managed to steal. I have only gotten sick once - when I got into a small back of Semi-sweet chocolate chips. I threw up for a couple of hours and then had runny poops for another couple of hours. (Camie)

8. I have to sleep next to the Mom person on the bed. I won't touch her, but I have to be next to her, except when I have tummy trouble, and then I don't want anyone near me and I hide under the bed. (Miss Jade)

Meezer Monday

I decided to do the Picture Meme for my Meezer Monday Post. Here are the rules:

1. Go to your Picture Folder on your computer or wherever you store your pictures.

2. Go to the 6th Folder and then pick the 6th Picture.

3. Post it on your bloggy and tell the story that goes with the picture.

4. Tag 5 other glorious peoples to do the same thing and leave a comment on their bloggy tellin' them 'bout it.

The only problem with this is, when I went into my 6th folder, I only had 3 pictures, so I decided to go to my 5th folder, it only had 5 pictures, so I went to my 7th folder, and I finally found more than enough pictures. So, here is the 6th picture in my 7th folder.

Mom was playing with some string with me in a box. I had a lot of fun, but I wasn't exactly looking at Mom, so this is one of our "Outtakes."

Thursday Thirteen (Meme)

Cody here. Abby at T'abby Normal tagged us for the Six Unspectacular Quirks Meme, so we thought we would turn it into a Thursday Thirteen and tell you a few things about each of us.

1) I love to have arguments with mom. She tells me to do something (or not to do something) and I argue with her until I can tell she means business (Tavi)

2) I hate having Mom's door closed. I want to be able to come and go if I want to. I will bang on the door to get her to open it for me. I will then sometimes walk away and go curl up and go to sleep (Tavi)

3) I don't really like fish flavored food. (Tavi)

4) I don't really like fish flavored food either. (Tiki)

5) I have to have a bite of any meat that Mom is eating, and sometimes other foods too. (Tiki)

6) I lick and bite the hand of anyone who smokes. (Tiki)

7) I love Temptations and Greenies (I just found out about those). (Cody)

8) I really like my kitty brothers and doggy sister much more than I like any person. (Cody)

9) Some people don't believe that I exist because they have never seen me, even tho they have visited Mom multiple times. (Cody)

10) I have a little hidey hole that the nice lady person made me. It is made of half a PTU with a soft mat in it and it is half hiding under the sink. She then put a towel around it so I am hidden, but I can still come and go. (Miss Jade)

11) I like to sleep on top of my cardboard scratcher, so the nice lady person put it on the bed for me. (Miss Jade)

12) I will hide under the bed with the rest of the cats without hissing or growling, but if they come near me in the rest of the room, watch out. The nice lady person says I am getting much better tho. I only hiss or growl when whey get very close, or I feel cornered. (Miss Jade)

13) I only know how to do 1 (one) trick. I can stand on my hind legs for treats. I do not do any other tricks on command. I cannot sit, stay, lie down, shake hands, etc. (Camie)

Tabby Tuesday Meme

I am slowly getting settled in. As you can see, Mom has decided to feed us on top of her dresser. Her hope chest is right next to the dresser, so Tiki can jump on that and then up to the dresser without any problems. The hope chest is also right under the window, so we can easily jump thru the blinds to get to the window sill to look out, or stand in front of the air conditioner to steal all the cold air.

• What is your name? Cody
• If you could change your name, what would it be? Hmmmm - I kind of like the name Cody - kind of mancatly, not too fussy or exotic like some cats I could name.
• What is your pet's name? She actually has two names. We call her Mom, but most others call her Tara.
• What is your brother or sister's name? My kitty brothers are Tiki and Tavi, and my woofie sister is Camie. I also have a kitty sister/cousin named Dharma but she doesn't live with me anymore.
• If you could change their name, what would it be? Well, since they are getting older, they are kind of grumpy old men, but they really act more like they are part of the mob or something - so Tiki would be the Don because he is the one who runs the show, and Tavi would be the Enforcer, because he is the muscle. Actually, they are great brothers and after the first two nights in our house, when we were all a bit freaked out, they have been their usual great selves to me.

1. What was I doing 10 years ago? Well, since I will be 11 sometime in June, and greyhounds typically start racing between the ages of 18 months and 2 years of age, I was training to run races 10 years ago.


2. Five Things on my to-do list today. Take a walk with Mom, eat breakfast, mess up Mom's bed when I take a nap there, eat dinner, whine at Mom.


3. Three snacks I enjoy. Scooby Snacks, The cat's food, Temptations - They are really good - but really small - they should make them bigger.


4. Things I would do if I were a billionaire. Buy Mom a house with a yard big enough for me to run around in. Build a huge no-kill shelter. Educate people on how to take care of their pets. Work to get greyhound racing stopped. Give the rest of the money to Mom to take care of. I would be rich, so I wouldn't have to deal with it.


5. Three of my bad habits. Waking Mom up "way to early" on the weekends, counter surfing and getting into food type things I am not supposed to, trying to steal the cats' food.


6. With the racing greyhound breeder with my mama and my siblings, at various racetracks, in the retired kennel at the racetrack in Tiajuana, Mexico (part of the American Racing Circuit), at my forever home.


7. Five jobs I have had. Money maker (racer), tree hider under (in the retired kennel - its what got me my forever home), being cute, loving the cats, Alarm Clock on the weekend. Mom's never goes off then, so I have to make sure she is up.


I am not going to tag anyone because I am sure that most everyone has participated already.

In tail news, it is still swollen, but I am using the whole tail. I don't want to have to deal with anyone really - I have turned into a grumpy, old man. I have been sleeping in this chair and will love on Mom when she comes to me, but if she picks me up and puts me in her bed, I tend to hop down and go back to my chair. I did sleep with her for about 3 hours last night.

Middle Name Meme

Well, since none of us have middle names, and we all have about the same nicknames, we are just going to use our first names.

Tiki first -

T - Tonkinese - It is what I am

I - Intelligent - all Siamese bred cats are smart

K - Kind - I really like everyone and everycat that comes to visit us.

I - Indulged - I think we all are indulged - as every cat should be.

Tavi next -

T - Tenacious - when I see something I want, I will work at it until I get it

A - Affectionate - I am a lover not a hater

V - Vocal - My origins are Siamese and as a breed, we are known to be talkative.

I - Insistent - It goes back to being tenacious - I am also insistent when I want something.

Cody next

C - Cautious - I am always very cautious around everyone.

O - Optimistic - this actually describes Mom more than me - but she is optimistic that our relationship will progress past my being afraid of everyone and everything.

D - Defensive - I get very defensive when people invade my space, but I run rather than fight.

Y - Youthful - at least Mom thinks of me that way - I am about half the age of the other two.

In other news, Mom can report that she thinks Cody has really soft fur. He let her scratch his neck and cheek for about 10-15 seconds yesterday while Mom was giving him some temptations. He didn't run away after she stopped. He stayed there and ate some more treats, but he was a little further away. Still, this is a big step for him. Yea!

Middle Name Meme

Hi, I was tagged by Shadow (Chance's woofie sibling) for the middle name meme.

Here are the rules:

I don't have a middle name, maiden name and mom isn't married, so she doesn't have a maiden name either, so I am going to use the nickname I am called most - Bugs or Bugsie.

B - Beautiful. Mom calls me this all the time. I happen to agree with her.
U - Un-Barker - hehe - I don't bark
G - Graceful - Mom thinks all greys are graceful.
S - Silly - Mom calls me this when I am playing. I like to run in circles and jump sideways at her.
I - Inactive - I sleep almost as much as a cat.
E - Extrovert - I used to be an introvert and would hide from everyone - but now, I am an extrovert. I love to go up to people and demand that they love me.

I am going to tag Diamond, Parker's woofie, and my 3 feline brothers. They will do theirs tomorrow - poor mom - hehe.

Our First Meme

We got tagged by Chance Bond to do our first Meme.

Here are the meme rules:

1. We have mentioned this before, but we can open a closed door. If we had someone come over to work on the house, Mom would put us in her room so we couldn't get outside. She would come home to find us out of her room. She finally put us in the room with her and the door shut and watched as we opened the door. Tavi turns the knob and Tiki pulls the bottom of the door open. She finally had to put a barrel lock on the outside of the door to keep us in.


2. We really love the PTU (as long as we aren't going for a ride). Mom first got one after a trip and after bringing us home, she put it away in the closet. We pestered her so much and kept banging on the door, she finally opened it up and we went in. We cry if we don't have our PTU open for us to go in. Tavi likes it so much, that he will jump up into it if Mom tries to move it.


3. We don't really like fish stinky goodness all that much. We will eat it, but we really prefer not to eat it.


4. It took Mom a couple of weeks to find out our names. We were called Jake and Josh at first. But we knew those weren't our real names - they needed to be more exotic sounding because we are exotic cats. Our grammy finally asked one of her friends and he came up with Tavi's name -and Grammy realized that mine had to be Tiki.


5. We rarely allow Mom to use the human litter box by herself. We always have to go in and stare at her until she picks us up, or we have to play in her pants.


6. We (so far) get along with any cat that comes into the house. We didn't hiss at Cody when he came to live with us, and when our Grammy's other cat was here, we didn't growl or hiss at her either. Tiki only hissed at the interloper when he had enough of her growling and batting at him, and it was only to tell her to knock it off.


7. We love our Camie (and our doggies that came before). We give her baths on her head, and she gives us ones on our ears. She lets us sit on her face and she just moves her head when she can't breathe anymore. She is a great doggie sister and never, ever gets mad at us or tries to play with us too rough.
