Tabby Tuesday

Mom has gotten not only her schedule all messed up, but ours as well. It is 5:30 in the morning PST, and she has not gone to bed yet. This means that we get fed at really weird times. We were just fed a few minutes ago (an hour earlier than normal), and when she wakes up some time this afternoon, we will be fed again. And then because it should be dinnertime somewhere in the world, we will probably be fed around 9 or 10 tonight. We only got fed a few minutes ago because she felt sorry for us, and she doesn't want us waking her up in a couple of hours. In the meantime, I am existing on treats between meals. (Mom is an 11 month employee, so she is off the whole month of August. Who is going to buy our treats for us this month - oh, Mom says she stocked up so we don't have to worry about it).

Tabby Tuesday

This is an old picture of me. There is a box above my head because Mom was starting to pack before the move. I still haven't come out from under the bed much at our new place, but I do demand my treats every night. Mom is going to make the bed all topsy turvey in the next couple of days, and thinks that might startle me out from under there. She keeps hoping I will come out and explore some more. Maybe I will, but maybe I won't.

Tabby Tuesday

Mom's should not have use of their pillow if a tabby is around. It is a great thing to take away from the beans.

Tabby Tuesday

Well, last night was a night of firsts. It was my first time coming out of the bedroom (at least as far as Mom knows). I sat in the hallway, but ran back to the bedroom when she came walking up to me. I also got to taste something really yummy. It was white and creamy and it was called yoghurt. Mom doesn't like it much so she got some specially for me and Camie. She is making Camie some frozen treats with it, and she said she thought it might help my tummy. We will see. I got 2 spoonfuls.

Tabby Tuesday & Happy Birthday Auntie Deb

I got a cut between my toes, and Mom tried to bandage it up for me. Not only did I poop all over her after she cleaned it up (I was scared of the water she made me soak my foot in), but I managed to get 2 bandages off. Mom says if she doesn't see an improvement in how it looks in a day or two, I have to go to the V-E-T. So, please send some good thoughts my way so I don't have to do some more pooping at will. Mom seems to think my poops are toxic smelling.

We want to wish Auntie Deb a very happy birthday today. We are so glad she is feeling better after her long back ordeal. Auntie Deb, may all your birthday wishes come true!

Tabby Tuesday

I am looking around the the tortie menace. I just know she is around somewhere.

As for moving, some kitties asked us if we will have to move far. We will probably move between 15-30 minutes away from where we are now. We think we will like it better because we won't have to stay in our room with mom to avoid the mean dog. Mom doesn't trust her with us. Mom is trying to find us a place in Long Beach, or somewhere else close by.

Tabby Tuesday

Hi, I have been spending a lot of time under the bed because of the tortie terror. She likes to swat at Cody and me. Mom says she will outgrow it. It can't be soon enough for me.

We also found out that one of our friends has gone to the Bridge. His was one of the first blogs that we started reading. Oreo, we will miss you fiercely, but know you are no longer in any pain. Say hello to Tiki for us.

Tabby Tuesday

Mom is coughing a lot, so I am trying to hide between her suitcase and the chair. But I can still see out so I can get treats. Mom will be home with us again today. She now has no voice - mol. She sounds funny when she tries to talk.

Tabby Tuesday

Ever since the menace came into our lives, I have either been hiding under the bed, or hanging out in the Garfield bed, kind of hidden from view. At least she isn't growling and hissing at us all the time now - just part of the time. Mom says she is very jealous of us (because Mom is paying attention to all of us and not just her exclusively), and that she will come around soon. At least in the Garfield bed, I am close to the food.

We also want to send our purrs to Auntie Deb. She fainted at her bean V-E-T and bumped her head and had to stay in the hospital overnight to make sure she was okay after the cat scanned her. Does anyone know where we can get a job as a scanner in a hospital, and what do we scan people for?

Tortie and Tabby Tuesday

Me Gracie. Me had to go to B-E-T again. Me not hab op-per-ate-shun. B-E-T and two legged thing think me already have op-per-ate-shun, so me not hab one unless me get like Ayla. Me get rooster shots and big needle with tag inside. Me not understand that. Me bery good again. Two legged thing thinks me like big blue box that moobes. B-E-T think me bery attached to two legged thing. Me not want to let go of her. Me want to be held by her always. Me still kind of growly at other cats. Grrrr. Me bery purry at two legged thing and me lub to make small holes in her when I need on her. Me like to need on her lots and lots. She says me clawrs sharp. Purrrrrr
My tummy gotted shabed. Me has scar in place where op-per-ate-shun was before.

Miss Jade here. I had to go to the V-E-T today also. Mom decided to see if she could make an appointment while she had Gracie there this morning and they had one this afternoon for me. I weigh all of 6 lbs. Gracie is over 9. I was so scared going to the V-E-T that I pooped in my carrier. It was majorly stinky and I got it all over the blanket and all over myself. The good thing is that when we got to the V-E-T, I got it all over the table, all over the assistant and all over Mom. Mom said she understood, but that I was very Stinky! They got me all cleaned up and gave Mom a plastic bag to put my blanket in. The V-E-T is having some medicine compounded for me for my achy tummy, and he wants me to try some new foods. My records were faxed by my old V-E-T and my new V-E-T is going to go thru them and try to get all the results from all of the tests I have had, so I don't have to have more. Otherwise, I am more or less okay healthwise.

Mom here: Yes, I made two trips to the vet today. Gracie was a little love, but kept wanting to climb up me to be held. The vet was surprised by her reaction since she has only been here a little more than a week. Jade is okay, but the vet is concerned about the constant diarrhea. The old vet report showed that tests were run, but not the results, so hopefully he will consult with the old vet.

In other news, does any kitty know of anyone in the southern CA area that would be willing to foster a mama kitty and her three week old babies? I have a friend whose neighbor didn't get one of their cats fixed and at first threatened to drown the kittens. At first they were going to let me take her before the kittens were born, but changed their mind at the last minute. In the meantime, Gracie came, and I no longer have room for a mama and her kittens as Gracie is taking up my only "free" space (my bathroom). Now the neighbor(s) are tired of dealing with the mama and the kittens and seem to be willing to let them be fostered. If anyone knows of anyone or anyplace that would take them, please e-mail me at taramorse(AT)aol(DOT)com. Sorry for the long post.
Thanks!

Tabby Tuesday &

Yes, once again, it is a picture of me and treats, only this one is just a little bit fuzzy. Mom hasn't really taken any new pictures of us in a couple of days because she has been home sick for the last almost week. She came home early on Wednesday and she said she was feeling so bad they didn't even have to force her to come home (she thinks the place will fall apart without her). Anyway, she has been home since then, and finally went back to work today. We have a feeling she is going to come home exhausted tonight.

We are also sending purrs to Miles because he has tummy trouble and Miss Jade can relate to that. We hope you feel better soon Miles!

Tabby Tuesday

Sometimes you just have to sleep upside down. It gives you a whole new perspective on your dreams.

We've gotten a couple of awards in the past week that we are hoping to post in the next day or two. Thank you to Greys and Things and to Tyler and siblings. We promise to show them off before the week is up.

Feather butt balls are almost as fun to play with as feather butt mousies.

Tabby Tuesday

Here I am doing what I always do...begging for treats. I always beg for treats...and I always get them. Camie is in the background trying to sleep (but she is hoping for some treats too).

Tabby Tuesday

Sorry we haven't been around the last couple of days. As we said last week, Mom had to go up to Oregon. She and our Papa (grandpa) drove up there on Thursday, and came home on Saturday. Mama's grandpa died, and they went to his funeral. Mom said he was a wonderful man who was one of the first homesteaders of Alaska. He lived a great life. She got home late Saturday, and spent Sunday resting. We missed her, but were well taken care of. We are trying to get caught up with all of you, and will be around to visit you all as soon as we can.

Tabby Tuesday & Goodbye Friend

Treat time is the only time I will come up on the bed when Mom is home and awake. I know you can't tell in this picture, but only my front feet are on the bed. Mom keeps one of our PTU's at the end of the bed because some silly Tonkinese boy likes to go in there and sleep. I am standing on the PTU with only my front feet on the bed because I don't trust Mom not to do something to me. Not that she ever has except when she threw a blanket over my head and shoved me in the PTU and moved me to this place - I hated that!

Tavi says he is sorry he wasn't here yesterday to grace you with his presence, but our internet was very slow because of our roommate was downloading something really big that took 24 hrs to finish.

We also heard our dear friend, Bow, from Forty Paws was helped over the bridge yesterday. He also had renal failure and was having a hard time moving like Tiki was at the end. Their mama is very sad today without her Bow. Please stop by and give them some hugs and purrs.

Tabby Tuesday Threefer

Mom kept trying to tempt me to look at her, but I didn't want the flashy to go off in my eyes, so everytime she started to take my picture, I either looked away or down, or closed my eyes - mol.
I'm not really all that upset. I slept with Mom quite a while last night, and even let her pet me before she fell asleep. I will usually only sleep near her, not right next to her like I did last night. It was kind of nice.

Mom saw Einstein over the holidays again, and tried to take lots of pictures of him. He was more interested in playing, so she only got this one picture of him. Mom thinks he is just adorable, but she has said that he is staying where he is, and we are not getting any more cats.

Tabby Tuesday

After eating treats, you always need to lick your lips (and nose) to make sure you've gotten all of the goodness off of them.
Mom says thank you for all of the get well wishes. She sounds a lot like a hoarse doggie right now with her coughing, but otherwise, most of the achyness and some of the tiredness has gone.

Tabby Tuesday and Doodle

Here is today's doodle. The theme is Candy Canes. For this week's doodles, we are going to try to keep updating the original picture, and see what we end up with.
Guess what I discovered. There is a really neat thing in the room that is very warm and comfortable to sleep on. Mom and Tavi call it a ham-mick. I have sniffed it before, and will usually put one paw in it, but last night, I decided I just had to check it out. Oh my goodness, it is very comfortable, and so toasty warm. Mom said she put a heating pad in the bottom of it because it is right above the tile floor.

Please excuse the mess all around it. Mom has been shopping and hasn't finished wrapping and cleaning up. It is so comfortable.

Mom also when over to our Uncle M's house and saw Einstein again. Mom keeps going on and on about how cute he is. She said he doesn't meow. He just squeals and growls. She said it is furry cute. His eyes have changed from the blue-grey color they were to a very pretty light amber brown. She also said he has lost the kitten tail as it has developed into a very magnificient, long tail. His furs have gotten longer and even more floofy. He wouldn't sit still long enough to have his picture taken. Mom says she took about 30 pictures, and this was the only usable one as the rest were blurrs or only part of him.

We also want to apologize to everyone. We have been visiting you, but Mom has hurt her right arm (she thinks by using the computer too much) and says it is very hard to type a lot, so we haven't been leaving very many comments. We are hoping she will be back to normal soon.

We are purring that all of our sick kitties and beans get better soon (Luxie, Auntie Deb, Beau, Timothy, Pepper, Miles, Billy, Brandie's Mama, and any other beans or furry friends we've missed). We also want to let Jeter's Mom know that we are purring that he stops being upset and comes back home to stay. We are very sad that he is so sad.
