Meezer Rule Wednesday & Doodle 7

This is the last doodle for doodle week. The theme is doodle mad. As you can see, Cody is not happy about the "M" word. As Mom explained it to us, we won't be moving far. We have been very lucky and have been living with Papa. He retired a year ago and wants to take his house on wheels on a trip to see the United States and Canada, and then he wants to settle down in a different state other than California, so that means that our house will have to be sold. There is no way that we can afford to buy a house in California with the price they are going for, but one of Mom's friends found one for rent that they can share.
The really good news is that the house is just 9 houses down from where we are now and across the street. That means that we won't even have to go in the metal monster on wheels to get there. We can go in our stroller if we want to. Mom is not sure how she is going to catch Cody as he hasn't been touched anywhere but his cheek in over 6 years. She is going to call our V-E-T to see if there is something that can be mixed in his food to knock him out so that she can pick him up without stress to him. We will let you know. If we can get into this house, we will be moving by the end of this month (probably).
Now for My Meezer Rule Wednesday
If you sleep in really cute positions, expect to be disturbed by the flashy box and squee's from Mom. Not to mention the pets you have to endure that wake you up.

Tabby Tuesday and Doodle 6

Today's doodle is about the abstract. So here is our interpretation of abstract art.

How to eat Temptations:
1) Lean in close to see what she is holding.
2) Give it a sniff with your eyes closed so you can appreciate the aroma.
3) Lick your lips in anticipation.
4) Lean in close and smell it again.
5) Close your eyes as you take it into your mouth.
6) Lean back and savor it.7) Start all over again.

In case you can't tell in some of the pictures, Mom has extra Temptations hidden in her hand - that is the ONLY way she would get me to sit still for that many pictures - well, that and the fact that she took picture after picture after picture.

Oh, hey, I need your help. Mom has mentioned a scary word to me, and I think I am going to need a place to hide out in a couple of weeks. She said a word that started with an "M" and said we would all be going together. I don't want to go anywhere. I like it here. All I have to say is if she wants me to have anything to do with an "M" word, she is going to have to catch me first (and she is really wondering how on earth that is going to happen).

Meezer Monday and Doodle 5

Today's doodle is about daydreams. What else would a cat daydream about? If you do a doodle about a cat today, make sure you stop by Its A Blog Eat Blog World. They are donating $ 0.50 for every doodle with a cat. Way to go Not the Mama.
For our Meezer Monday, we thought we would show you it's a lot more fun to play with these that use them for their original purpose. Of course, Mom had to ruin my fun after she took this picture, and she took it away from me.

Inquiring Minds Want to Know

A lot of kitties have been asking to see what our litter box set up looks like - so here it is: 1) Our litter box on top of two drawers back to back
2) The one drawer is turned upside down with the drawer taken out and put in upside right. We put a lawn bag in as a liner.
3) Here is the drawer taken out - we just tuck the bag around the drawer - they are 33 gallon sized.
4) The drawers are sterlite 45 gal sized. (Oops - Sterilite - and 45 qt - Thanks Tyler's Mom)

5) The drawer is 20 inches wide6) by 17-1/2 inches long
7) by 11-1/2 inched high8) The overall height of the back of the littermaid on the drawers is about 22 or 23 inches - it is a bit blurry - but definately under 2 feet.

Some of you have asked about ease of getting in and out. Tiki is having a hard time jumping due to neuropathy because of his diabetes. The lining covering his nerves is being "eaten" away leaving the nerves exposed, so he has some pain and when he jumps, it makes it worse. He can easily step up (or take a short jump up) into the box without any problems.

With the three of us, Mom could empty the drawer every other week - but she does it at least once a week and sometimes twice. It doesn't smell, but it get heavy if Mom leaves it too long.

If you have any questions, leave us a message.

Sleeping in Really Late on Sunday and Doodle 4

The theme for today's doodle is flowers or plants. We were talking with Ruis at the party last night, and it got Mom thinking how much she misses seeing the tulips in Holland during the spring, so we drew this for her.

This is an old photo and I definitely have laser eyes in it, but we all slept in this morning.

Sleeping on Saturday & Doodle 3

Well, we did it (sort of). We have a doodle of Camie - done entirely by us on the computer - boy is it a lot harder to do a woofie than a kittie. We hope you like it. If you would like to participate, more information can be found here.
I know we keep telling you we like the PTU, but we thought we would show you further evidence that it is true. Here we both are sleeping in it. It really is a great place to curl up to get away from it all - at least until Mom starts looking for you and disturbs your nap with the flashy box.

Formerly Feral Friday & Doodle 2

Here is our monster doodle. Mom has been drawing something similar since she was in middle school. We don't think it's very scary. If you want to participate - information can be found here.
Hi - I came out last night and demanded treats. You can see part of the cat litter set up in the background. Mom will take pictures and post them this weekend for those of you who asked. I am feeling fine, I just haven't felt like being social with the beans. Tavi and I have been spending a lot of time sleeping together in a dark, out of the way spot, so Mom can't get a good picture. This weather is just perfect for long lazy naps with your brother.

Thursday Thirteen & Doodle

The doodle of us - well, minus Camie - dogs are hard.

Here are thirteen differences between our old littermaid and our new one.

1.) Our old box was a bit narrower and shorter than the new one. It doesn't fit well on the "stand" Mom has put together for it.

2) Our new box bottom comes apart more easily to clean.

3) Our new box has a removable raking arm to make it easier to clean.

4) Our new box has a clock on it.

5) The clock enables us to turn it off at night if we need to.

6) Our new litter box is quieter than our old one.

7) We were used to the loudness of the old one, so we don't need to turn off the raking arm at night. Besides, with 3 cats using it, we wouldn't do that anyway.

8) Our new litter box emits ions after the raking arm scoops.

9) Our old litter box's scoop doesn't fit the rake of the new one - it came with a new scoop. We now have 3 scoops. One for the big stuff, and 2 small ones to clean the tines of the rake.

10)The rake on the old litter box had plastic tines. The new one has metal ones.

11) It seems to be lighter weight than our old one.

12) This one hasn't gotten stuck yet. Our old one would get stuck about once every couple of days. Especially with Tiki's pee problems. This one seems to power thru it.

13) This one came in a lot more pieces that Mom had to put together (and she did it without looking at the instructions). She said it was very self-explanatory.

All in all, we like our new littermaid litter box. Mom says she is having to scoop it less (our old one wouldn't pick up the stuff stuck on the bottom of the box - we like to pee deep). It also seems to hold a bit more litter, so it doesn't need to be filled quite as much. If any of you are thinking of getting an automatic litter box, we love ours. We have only ever had one litter box to share between the three of us, never knowing that the rule of thumb is supposed to be one per cat plus one (we have no idea where we would even put that many). Having the automatic box is like having fresh litter all the time. As we said on Monday's post, we have had one since they were invented, and love it.

Mom has changed the set up a little tho because the "box" for waste is too small to handle 3 cats. She bought 2 plastic drawers that were big enough to hold the litter box and put them back to back. She turned one upside down, but pulled the drawer out and put that one back in right side up. The other drawer is where she stores some of our supplies. She lines the right side up drawer in the upside down box with a trash bag and doesn't put the "box" that comes with the automatic box where it goes. Our waste dumps into the trash bag lined drawer. She pulls the bag out a couple of times a week and throws it away and puts a new bag in. She never has to touch anything, and everyone is happy. The drawer system also seems to contain all of the smell. We will take pictures of our set-up if you would like us to.

Meezer Rule Wednesday Time Two

My First Rule - Take skritches from anyone willing to dish them out (this is my papa's hand). Cody really needs to learn this rule!
My Second Rule has to do with something that happened to me today - When your mom steps on your tail, smack her a couple of times in the face when she picks you up to apologize before forgiving her. Mom accidentally stepped on the tip of my tail today and when she picked me up to apologize, I patted her in the face a couple of times. She didn't mind and kept loving me and apologizing. She said she felt really badly - I didn't.

Tabby Tuesday

Cody isn't being very cooperative about being around us this week. He isn't even coming out for Temptations. Mom thinks it is because of the weather change. It has gone from over 100 a week ago to being in the mid 60's today. This is what we typically call June Gloom weather (even tho it is a month early). So we are going to re-post one of Mom's favorite pictures of him.

Meezer Monday

Here we are waiting for mom to get out of the wet box. Sometimes we wait right outside the room, but most of the time, we wait in the room with her.

Sleeping in on Saturday

Mom says this is how we are going to spend our morning. She is still trying to catch up on sleep from her trip. She has been busy every weekend since she got home.

We have been working on updating our links. If you are not listed, would you please let us know? Most everyone is listed by their blog name, but some of you are listed by just your name because that is how we think of you, so if you don't find yourself one way, try the other. Thanks. We will have a final tally of who got "Knocked Up" (thanks Diamond Emerald Eyes for the phrase) on Monday.

Formerly Feral Friday

Mom was being silly and put up her umbrella in our room- mainly to see what we would do - Cody did sneak in and Mom managed to take a picture of him.

In other news, Thank you to everyone who participated in our Knock Knock Joke Blog Blast. We loved everyone's jokes. We haven't been to all of you yet, but we will finish out today to finish personally thanking you. We love reading all the different jokes and pictures. And we hope we are making a couple of more friends out of this too. As of right now, there are about 100 names in Mr. Linky, but some of our friends have to share a blog like we do, so they posted more than one per blog. We think we have at least 125 knock knock jokes posted - maybe as many as 140. We will be working on tabulating the results this weekend.
