Oh yes. Mommy always takes so many pictures of me before she leaves so she can "see" me on her digital camera. I say if she didn't leave she could see me (and pet me) and I wouldn't have that flashy box nonsense!

When your Mom is gone for a couple of days, be prepared to do some posing for the flashy box. My rule - Demand skritches when you are posing.
